I really like this one, Sara-- I like the image of what your first line evokes, then the contrast of your 2nd line-- very striking :)

What an incredible write this one is my friend! This Haiku is very descriptive, and very nicely done! I love the line, "first dark charcoal sky" it says so much, my imagination sees this sky as extremely black in a way...just then the sun comes! Ah simply beautiful! Great Work!!

A magnificent description of sunrise, Sara. Like the twist at the end. Quite witty thinking of this as a "public love affair," but it's a very creative analogy. So glad you had fun on your vacation. Wish you could join me on mine. Love, Carolyn
