First Crush

So simple but painfully complicated
I'm held back by the fear of being humiliated
So again and again I keep silent and Stare
With a fake smile, pretending not to care.

Your presence is precious, to me you always glow
If only Cupid could step in and unite us with his bow
But I resist and remember, do I really have a chance
To win this girls heart and be rewarded romance.

Sadly I know I'll never fit the part
I'm an underdog that's been loosing right from the start
Until things can be totally different
I think it's best I keep my distance
Because no matter how much I am persistent
She barely notices my existence
