Fireflies
Fireflies
Flickering,flickering of little tiny lights,
Edge of dark, when it gets night.
Fireflies twinkling with each bright blink,
Like your eyes with a little quick wink.
Sparkling and flying from place to place,
One landed on my nose,on my face.
Catching them and putting them in a mason jar,
Watching them light up like the brightest star.
It's funny how these little bugs light up the night,
In the back yard with a fire pit, that gives off such a light.
Fireflies make the summer more fun,
Trying to catch one with my hand on the run.
Fireflies are my favorite, because I like to watch them light up,
Setting in the backyard, drinking my coffee in my favorite cup.
Fireflies are the signs of summer times to spend time together,
Fireflies are cute little bugs,as light as a birds feather.
