Fire In Eyes

Sitting around a fire
As above rages a powerful storm
To expose underlying tension
Which shows the heart in its truest form
Gathering to show these truths we hold in our heart to be
The message of our secrets hold us so consequently
In no desperate need to finish nor even make it dire
We have the right to take our time
telling secrets by the fire
Releasing them one by one
under the starry night sky
Releasing them one by one
So that one by one they die
Through secrets tinged a personal grudge
Each pitted against the other
Shamed be to the match that lit the spark
to fight against our brother
And through the storm sitting in the dark
We wonder where things went wrong
So within the curse of guilt we hark
The fire to sing our song
Fires come and they will once again go
That just comes to show
Although you knew
If the flames can stay together that long
Then So can you
