Fire and Ice

 I hate to love You
This love, a fiercely lit fire
         Full of burning desire
         Like fire
         We burn bright like light
         Like fire
We burn out without a fight

         And sometimes...
         I love to hate You
With deep emotions, cold as ice
         Birthed within your binding lies
         Like ice
It stings when I hold too much
         Like ice
It melts with your soothing touch

This is the way of love and all the emotions it brings. Good on you.

Such powerful emotions expressed using metaphoric fire and ice. Succinctly illustrated poetry. I like that hate, like ice, thaws with the beloved's soothing touch. Good one, Wilfred.

Aww thanks a lot, Kim...... True, the deeper a hurt, the more sweet its release at the touch of a beloved.... Thanks again!!!
