Fire Alive

Solid blue and down and out
A fortune spent in the things you're about
As disappointments lay at your feet
You carry your bag of troubles.

A task is living, this awful plight
which crushes your heart both day and night
You sweep me a glance of the love that we keep
and then shower me with your silence.

If all the world is against you, dear,
and Armageddon is terribly near
Will you find your insides are made of steel?
Or will they be clay that crumbles?

I'm a fire alive and so are you.
We still look alike in our souls, we do.
You're the faith outcome of a giant leap
And I wish you an ocean of solice.
