Fire
You say that you are burning
And have no one to quench the
Fire
You would sell your soul
If only you could find a
Buyer
You say if there was someone
To cover you, like skin cover the
Bones
Then this burning fire
Would leave you
Alone
You say that you’ve gone to
The river of coolness but
Found none there
You’ve sailed the sea of joy
And its doors were closed
With no joy to share
Then you washed in the lake of prayer
And dried off on the
Shore
That’s where plenty resided
And where coolness and joy was
Stored
Now the fire that burns your soul
Is no longer like a heap of
Coals
You’ve met the One in control
And everything you need
He holds
