Finding Me

Talking to strangers and staring them down
Making them realize that I will not bend to them
Letting them know that I can not be swayed
Stand in the midst of temptation and still stay strong
Though my strength was too delayed

No matter, though I have found it all now
Strange to think that once you are gone you find it
Strange to think that you find when you have lost
Strange to see me as I am now
I would not call this sudden strength a cost

Looking up pictures and hunting them down
Faded evidence of who I used to be
The wind in my hair at the edge of the sea
Is something that I find I am missing
But i'm not missing what's important and thats me
