Finding Fall

Finding Fall

as I watch the leaves begin
to change this time of year
I wonder what tomorrow brings
and stand to face my fear
yesterday was cold and gray
much harder than you know
but when I look around today
the autumn colors flow
not quite sure where I belong
or if I’ll ever find
a place as pretty as the fall
somewhere in my mind
I know that I am truly loved
that people really care
that is why you see me smile
when life’s not being fair
