Finally Home

When the heavy air has lifted
Our existence fully gifted
Gravity has lost its hold
And every color newly bold.
When earthly thoughts evaporate
New joys can we anticipate.
Wonders unending, His love everywhere
We will cast every crown before Him there.
Every element tainted by sin’s dark curse
Will be left on earth, along with thirst.
Restoration of things, we knew not were missing
Perfection in Christ, no purpose for wishing.
The temporal pain, no match for the glory
No loss, only gain is the plot of His story.
Heaven is free if we only receive it.
The burden of sin, Christ already relieved it!
A simple confession, “I’ve sinned my Lord!”
Signs the deed to a home you could never afford.
Freely He offers, freely He gives
On earth and in Heaven He made you to LIVE!
