Finality, Then Relief

FINALITY, THEN RELIEF! A final decision comes about with certain risk, And should be made mostly, at a pace that is brisk, An idea comes knocking, all’s not in vain, And Invariably an amount of calm will reign. Belief in one’s self will determine how to proceed, With this insurmountable ordeal, this difficult deed, And one’s state of mind at this point will also tell, If you’re reaching the end of this indecisive hell. A ray of sun will pierce through your heart, And the misery, torment and hurt will depart, For now, one’s decision is made and is fast, All is forgotten, the past is the past.

Jennifer I loved this poem and it goes into my Favourite list.... This poem has so many different meanings and I took it as follows: "When you have lost someone dear to you". You cannot dwell in the past, you need to move on...This really touched my broken heart, its time for it to mend. Kim

Hi Kim, We've spoken about your loss Kim, and I know how devastating it was for all the family! We all have to die one day, and our loved ones that have departed would not want us to dwell in the past, they all loved us so that they want us to be happy for whatever time we have left. xoxo, Jennifer.

I enjoyed your poem, but sometimes over thinking does not help, but makes the situation more difficult... The last stanza is brilliant, and so many will relate to this poem..

Thank-you Silent One. We have so many vitally important decisions to make in our lives and sometimes even daily, dwelling on them too long would be depressing. I enjoy that you enjoyed my last stanza, just driving it home! Best wishes, Jennifer.

Thank-you Gordon, You are like a light house beacon! I enjoy your faith and your poems. You are there for anyone and a constant reminder to anyone who loses their way for a short while. Thank you for your comment, indecisions eat away at you, a decision made has a calming effect. Kind regards, and blessings Jennifer.

I think your point is that there can be a lot of anxiety about making a decision. And once the switch is pulled, a sense of relief is sometimes due to the irreversibility of a decision. It's so true. A decision can be changed in the future, but never completely erased from our memory. So every witness will be there to let us know our mistakes (lol).

I can relate to your way of thinking, Jennifer. Some important decisions can be very thought provoking, yet too much dallying is not good either...doubts can easily be a hindrance! Then, once we accept the way forward, we certainly feel much better! Enjoyed your poem ~~ Warm regards // paul

Hi Paul, It is almost like a weight you carry round with you which somehow lifts one beautiful day. My father knew when something like this would happen to me and say I see you found the switch and turned it off, well done my girl! Happy you enjoyed, and thank you for your comment Paul. Best wishes, jennifer.
