Filtered Frames
Silence hum as Wisdom continues to watch
How labels are given to colour, gender and merit.
How voices of freedom are a stifled arch
Where Pride is human inability to inherit.
When harvest don smiles severing poverty and pride
and logic fidget with Weather’s mischievous pranks,
Then determined to save, generations rush to stride,
Distances long with magic on Earth’s secular ranks.
Close to nature Charity devise means and ways
To provide for distressed couples expecting a soul.
To step in aid for those empty stares that lay
Longing for a life, for a few grains in bowls.
As media sets Parliament talks to tune
Where bills are discussed, for elections to run
Fevered favours cast here and there
Prejudice documents, how some always have fun.
Families cease to exist, living becomes a curse
Might is right and Honesty bows to pounds.
Agony a blessing; it sets the heart to nurse----
Feelings finally find, solace in burial grounds.
Thought and imagination fight logic in class
Borrowed notes get shared with bribes.
Those with backbones complain and fuss
At the systems that surrender to a defunct tribe.
To each his own, no matter what.
One carries on with innovative zest.
Life is right when brains and beauty dart
Masses pay tribute to those who are blessed.
Libraries are made available at a click
A switch on remote pressed, is a farmer’s joy
Work in tons, get done without risk
Machines replace men if that’s not a ploy.
Tools and techniques in regions and states
Get the golden touch for AI’s sake,
Money goes digital, and beings are baits
Life in a machine, life’s all a fake.
If one has the power to hold the reigns
Implore divinity to proliferate signs
of pardon when evil no longer feign
Innocence which mask control in mines.
Earth eventually will see peace prevail,
No gun will fire doomsday mourns---
Peppered tastes will grow thin and sail
And love will design life’s sojourns.
