Fill Up the Void
Skin on skin,
Tell me you love me.
You don't have to mean it
I just need to hear it now.
Naked and lying,
At least I know your trying.
I know it can't be easy, easy
even though I am.
I am trying,
To put forth some emotion
though your feigning your
devotion
you don't even know my name.
I've slipped into,
Something sort of numbing
even though I may be coming
I can't even fake a sigh.
Please just stay,
Please pretend to listen.
These lips I have I swear
are made for so much more
than kissing.
I can feel,
My body growing colder
You wink back over your
shoulder
And I'm as empty as can be.
