Fighting Your Shadow

Your shadow tries leading you one way,
while at the same time
you try going the opposite direction.

And you desperately 
try to control it with no avail.

Then your shadow laughs at you,
but only for your ears to hear. 

It'll drive you absolutely crazy 
because you can't tell your shadow 
to shut up 
without you looking crazy.

But once you realize 
that the shadow you keep fighting with 
is actually is you.

 Then you'll continually be tortured 
on a daily basis 
until you take your stand.
