Fighting For Hope and a Kiss

I’m gonna raise my banner high
I’m gonna stand through every lie

This may be my last night
So I’ll kiss you to keep my eyes bright
This may be the death of me
But your image will be the last thing I see

This time I’m looking past their hate
This time I know I mustn’t wait
Right now I’m lookin for you
Right now I’m lookin for the truth

War
Is out to get me
Hate
Is all I ever see
It’s been years
Since I’ve seen love
It’s been far too long
Since the world’s seen heaven’s dove

This may be my last night
So I’ll kiss you to keep my eyes bright
This may be the death of me
But your image will be the last thing I see

Demons try to push me away
The night hides the light of day
They’ll all laugh and tell me to leave
But darkness is all they’ll ever see

I’m gonna raise my banner high
I’m gonna stand through every lie

This may be my last night
So I’ll kiss you to keep my eyes bright
This may be the death of me
But your image will be the last thing I see

This time I’m looking past their hate
This time I know I mustn’t wait
Right now I’m lookin for you
Right now I’m lookin for the truth
