Fighting and Hiding

laughing at the rain
antagonizing the lightning
defying all my pain
trying to be up for anything
        roaring at the thunder
        howling at the wind
        nature's beginning to wonder
        if it somehow sinned
I myself am a storm
my own torrential downpour
whether icy or warm
something's always brewing in my core
         perpetually striving to resist
         the harsh elements of reality
         I'd much rather exist
         in the realm of insanity

So that's what I heard and here I thought it was just another hurricane. :) Sounds very fierce Christy, like I should have an umbrella or something as I read. Nicely done my friend.
