Fight To Love

The first battle is always the hardest they say
But what if the pain never goes away?
I fought for you, I gave my blood
I thought relief would come like a flood
But being with you didn't heal me
In fact it only brought misery
You were vicious, your words hurt
You treated me like I was nothing but dirt
But in my pain I fought to love you
It seems I fail at everything I do

I lived inside a hell of one of these effed up relationships. The sting brings pain and rain, but beauty lives in the blood of the stain.

Life and love can be hard or cruel. We have to battle on, believing that better times can and do lay ahead. A poignant write.
