Fight Or Flight

I see him in my dreams
Behind my eye's sleeves
In the darkness
In the night

Fright.
Flight or Fight?

In my drawers,
In my mind.
On the wall,
In the sky.

Down the hall,
Take a right,
That is when it's Fight or Flight.

Decide then and there.
Too late, I've already met the bear.

Take the punches
Feel that pain
Turn around
Everyday it's the same.

Face the door
When I go to bed
No lock
I could wake up dead

Up all night
A blade in my hand
Soggy eyes
This night was not what I planned

I don't want to die
Nor do I want the pain
This choice was not mine
He drives me insane

Stuck in one room
With plenty of walls
Can't last much longer
He's just down the hall

Down the hall
Take a right
That's when it's Fight or Flight

Now I've gone
Moved away
But I still feel tied to his chain

How many months will I get
Before I start to forget

The fear still fresh in my mind
His angry words
The very fine line

It's getting to much again
I'm loosing sleep
Not much longer will this tired mind keep

Even with a love
Right by my side
He still creeps into my mind

And I look down the hall
And to the right
This time I've decided to fight.
