This poem was written for, and dedicated to, high school friends of mine..... still
Fifty Years (happy anniversary Marilyn and Larry) By Franklin Price 8/20/2016 Fifty years is not so long Sometimes only yesterday Said “I do” to your best friend Put on that ring to stay No doubt you love each other No one else would ever do Congratulations on the fifty I'm so proud of both of you I know it wasn't easy On every day that passed you by Sometimes there were storm clouds To darken up the bright blue sky You listened to the thunder Kept the lightning strikes away Weathering storms were part of getting here As was the perfect Springtime day My hope and prayer for both of you Is that you move on happily You've been so long together That you're almost family
