Fifteen Years

FIFTEEN YEARS

Fifteen years now you’ve been gone,
And your work I carry on
In the nursing home each week,
Thinking of you when I speak.
Hoping as my work you see
That you are now proud of me.
Dad, though we were not real close,
A memory I treasure most
Is that day we both embraced,
Said, “I love you,” teary-faced.
Some day we’ll embrace once more
On that happy heavenly shore.
I look forward to that day
When together we will say,
“Love you, Dad,” and “Love you, son”
As our life in heaven’s begun.

	In memory of my dad

Truly beautiful and a FAV, this should be a POTD Panagiota
