Fidgety Feet
Fidgety feet
aching to leap
into the air
to breathe fragrance so fair.
Envying its father
and its mother
ever urging
to be following.
Choosing to trust
in the aching rush
of its heart and guts
seeking that freedom
by gaining their wisdom.
Spreading its wings
It leaps, even risking
its own life
no matter the strife
Its feet
no longer fidgety
But free to be
what it was meant to be.
