Few and Far

Does vision allow, to see
    Beyond the fog and smoke?
Can a child's cry be heard,
    While grasping to choke?

When the heart is broken,
Can it be helped to mend?
If a soul appears lost, is
    There a remnant to extend?

As questions outweigh an
    Answer, the burden remains.
Why loss is scored and counted,
Much more so than the gains.

The nature is complex, as
    Many pieces claim a part.
While solutions are often shadowed,
    Even from the start.

This may seem an endless chase,
    To find what is right.
Yet without any effort, the
    Pain will further invite.

Where emptiness is seen, a
Bridge of hope may be belief.
To find comfort among calamity,
    And some harmony in relief.
