Festival Lights and Sights

Festival lights and sights
A whirl of fancy and flight
Bells and stars and candy canes
Frosted patterns on windowpanes

Tinsel and glitter all a-glow
Mantels covered with mistletoe
Amidst all the splendor, let us remember
Those without homes or fireplace embers

Hello Gershon … it all sounds like Christmas to me, so the lonely need a little bit of a hand to enjoy Christmas spirit too - thank you Gershon - Lindsay

So many sad people this year without jobs, and possibly places to live. A horrible time to be in dire straits as it is difficult to get close enough to help them.

That's a good point you made about being difficult to get close enough to help them. Still, no excuse(s). Season's best, Caren! :) gw

So many millions of them this year, and yet the rich are getting rich, as the unfortunates are going hungry. Such a lovely poem of the real truth in our world at present. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

For many it will be the same miserable experience of being homeless or not enough to eat. Many in that situation through no fault of their own. Tom

It's a tough world out there, and an unfair one too. :) gw
