Felling the Forest
This is mankind, working to order,
felling the forest up to the border.
Clearing the trees to claim the land.
Grabbing more space to further expand,
for his numbers they grow and grow.
and so the forests now have to go.
Another one on his hit list.
Worry not for it won't be missed.
Wielding chainsaw, he wins the wood.
With huge profit, he's making good.
The brown he burns clearing the spoil
thus yielding rich and fertile soil.
But then wildlife is left homeless.
Species extinction, one more mess.
This is mankind, working to order,
felling the forest up to the border.
