Felix Culpa

The Fall necessary for redemption Exodus needed to reach Promised Land The Cross before glory resurrection Sometimes, evil's allowed by God's command We need to fall to rise again 'bove pain "Failure is the stepping stone to success" If we do not commit mistakes, no gain Sometimes, we don't learn lessons without mess So, count yourself fortunate if you fall "A just man falls seven times and rises" Hurdles in the way won't cause your downfall For Phoenix, out of ashes, arises.

How compassionate God is. Man falls and is punished. Yet immediately, God gives hope that man can rise again.

Greetings, sweet Joanna. "A just man falls seven times and rises" - where does that quote come from? I wish I had known I only needed to do it 7 times, I'm kidding. No, I'm not. I totally agree with your point of view as it is part of mine, too. Without pain, some would never call His name. You wrote a quality poem with a great message. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Dear Joanna, You really inked the paradoxical concept of the fortunate fall. I just loved how your verses eloquently mix together biblical allusions and spiritual insights about growth through adversity. Your artistic words show that setbacks can lead to greater strength and wisdom, offering a hopeful perspective on life's challenges. Amen, my Sister!! Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
