Feelings Swirling In Me
"How would you describe,
Your feelings inside
If you were to calculate their meaning,
For each that you were feeling
Wondering about life,
And which emotion describes it right
How would it seem,
This impact on our being
Emptiness at the helm,
Lost or overwhelmed
For you don’t know,
Which way to go
Butterflies and excitement,
A giddy contentment
Of a spark that ignites,
A fire that incites
Satisfying events,
Or those to forget
That bring you success,
Or the need to confess
The desire to nurture,
Or yourself to reassure
A friendship to restore,
A love walking out the door
Happiness for what you’ve gained,
Or the heartbreak of a memories pain
Feelings which affect our heart and mind,
I hope this cruel world will be kind
For each lesson earned,
More about myself I will learn"
