Feelings and Impressions

Feelings and impressions Are no safe guide. God’s word will lead you In His word you must abide. Satan works through feelings And many false impressions, But God teaches us through His word; Christ demonstrated these renditions. Jesus met Satan With the words, “It is Written.” When demanded a sign of His divinity By God’s word Satan was smitten. The Bible tells us The Word of God is our guide. Upon the guidance of man Faith cannot be relied. Feelings are not dependable; Impressions too can be false. It’s the Word of God written That’s needed for our heart’s pulse. It’s greater than miracles For they can come from the foe. He’s the world’s ‘great deceiver’, So to God’s Word you must go. God’s word is where you’ll find All the answers you need. Forget your feelings and impressions; It’s God’s Word you must heed. His Spirit will show you What He wants you to learn. It’s for the Word of God— Your heart needs to yearn. © Copyright 2008-2012 Maureen LeFanue www.maureenlefanue.com
