Feelings

Feelings of death and despair
Sadness, dejection, misery, unhappiness
Follow me everywhere

To be whole again, and not in pain
Is just a dream as I can’t escape the
Feelings of death and despair

Where once I was happy and light
I am now saddled with cares
That follow me everywhere

Seeing other people kiss and hug
Makes me all more aware
Of my feelings of death and despair

Alone and on my own
My mind filled with images and thoughts
That follow me everywhere

As my borrowed time slips by,
I seek and struggle to purge these
Feelings of death and despair
That follow me everywhere
