Feelings

A medley of feelings surge  
inside the well of my heart
sometimes it makes me happy
but most often it makes me sad
Sometimes it drives me to tears
At other times it makes me laugh
this interplay of feelings is a mystery
that I'm trying to grasp

The blend of emotions
from tenderness to pain
I wonder where it came from
I just can't understand
They moved me and touched me
as they stirred my heart
drowning me in tears
as they want to break free

Jake Ponce April 23, 2014 at 4:17 AM The way your words flowed in this piece made me feel like I'm in a very clear river and I'm slowly floating downstream. I can't hear much of the running water for my ears are partly submerged in the water. The Sun is peeking between the leaves of the majestic trees as leaves and petals slowly fall on the surface. You also inspire me. I like your work. :)
