                                               ((     Depression
                                                        Afraid          ))
                                           Anxiety             Panic
                                   ((    Depression              Anxiety
                                                Tired            Panic  ))
                                                     ((   Afraid
                                                                      ))


                                            Words that we do not like
                                     Everyone has known these feelings
                                        They are not a sign of weakness
                         We struggle with feelings and will always  be so strong
                               Strong ..... do we always need to be so strong
                                Say it loud ....Today I have really a bad day
               The heart beat a little faster ..... You might have a little panic or anxiety
                        Depression comes like a creeping dark carpet - You are afraid
               You are not a weak human - you are a normal human being with feelings

Space Cadet April 13, 2014 at 3:18 PM I like this raw idea. And I think the line "Words that we do not like" has potential to open the word gates for some more of the REALLY visceral word-struggles that we do not like, words that seemingly convince humans that they are weak. What about lying? That's a start… I'm enjoying your pieces. Kelly Deschler March 17, 2014 at 5:10 PM I think it is perfectly normal to feel afraid and depressed at times. Life is not perfect, so why should our feelings about it be hidden. Poetry seems to be very therapeutic. It has helped me to get through some tough times. This poem was expressed very well. Great work, Anne Lise!
