Feelings

Feelings bring nothing but heart ache and pain,
When asked how you feel the automatic “okay” comes out,
You’ve got to wonder if emotions are worth the strain,
You’ve become that good at lying, you never leave anyone in doubt.

When that one real thing leaves your life,
Pain through the numbness is the only way you know you’re alive,
Your heart has been ripped open and all eyes can see the knife,
Anyone thing could push you to that final dive.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
