Feeling the Heat

Feeling the Heat
(Senyru)

Hot rays from on high
moisture will pour from your skin
cloths are ringing wet

day time is longer
sun will come up earlier
tired from all the heat

thirsty need water
flowers and people need it
exhausted by now

Interesting view in this senryu series. The theme dealing with heat pulls this poem together line by line. Keep on writing. Karen

Mary I do not know where you live but I live in South Texas and we have had 51 days this year over 100 degrees and are about 16 inches below normal rainfall. So say a prayer or two for us we are in desperate need of rain. God Bless, Ron
