Feeling Down

I sink into this tranquil sea
It’s silence builds and weighs on me
I feel as though I cannot breathe
Within these depths I sit and grieve
There are no fish within this sea
In fact, down here, is only me
I think someday I’ll lose my mind
And I’m afraid of what I’ll find
Down here where I am on my own
Down here where We are all alone
Down here, within this tranquil sea
Down here to keep me company

There is a delightful darkness and despair in this rhyme, Edward. It has a prettiness that is not easy to explain, but it appeals to the me-ness in me.
