Feel the Fall

Sweetheart,

We felt the fall in early June,
love born of a Summer sun.
By August, I was in your arms,
life's best had just begun.

Like falling leaves of Autumn trees
throwing caution to the wind,
you carried me like a gentle breeze
to places I've never been.

Weightlessly drifting in happiness
I feel each sweeping rise,
discovering our harmonies
with breathless sweet surprise.

I fantasize we stay adrift
through life and time to recall
how each new day through seasons of change
we always felt the fall.

Still falling in love with you,
Jeannie

to find the one is a constant dream for those that haven't, your poem speaks to those that have found the one in poetic verse...my first thought after reading your poem

I hope the fall doesn't skin your knees. I used to hate that when I was a kid:) Those damned strawberries hurt! Nice to see you posting again, Jeannie:)

Hello my friend, so good to hear from you. Somehow I knew if anyone left a comment, it would be you. Haven't been writing much poetry lately but my book is coming along nicely. Love to get your opinion on it before I begin the publishing process. There are few people who's opinion I respect more.
