This haiku is an eye-opener, Jan; babies have every right to be looked after, but once they grow up they have to become self-dependent. hugs // paul

I love these haiku -- such great images . . . as the baby bird grows it will also feed a hungry crew. . . may your sweet words fill the mouths and ears of generations to come.

If the baby bird doesn't spread its wings and learn to eat on it's own it will be dependent on the parents its whole life...excellent Jan...hugs Tim

Yes, once in my childhood I acted father of a baby bird. I fed him/her balls of whole wheat. a gluttony monster. Love Jan...rajat
