February Thaw

Bright sunshine with melting snow And streams flowing down the street Taking sands where it will go The winter warm air was a treat As I stood still, wondering why At sparkling water near banks I saw Dreams floating beneath the sky In what was a mild ‘February - thaw’ Heidi Sands 2/5/19

Hi Heidi, this is such a wonderful poem to fill the heart with peace and joy. Before we know where we are Spring shall be upon us once again. Spring, the season of renewal. I stand in the heart of the beautiful canvas your words paint so beautifully. Love the content Heidi. Have a wonderful Friday. Hugs....Mike. XX

So beautiful Heidi I felt I was there witnessing the thaw. It has been quite cold here in the UK with some snow, although not where I live, and nothing like you are experiencing. Keep safe and warm Heidi, kindest thoughts Ann xx

Oh, I so wish this was true. We are having freezing rain here, and I would rather have what you were having. Nicely done Heidi. Thanks for the tease!

I hope you have some sunshine soon Caren. We are getting colder again today, lots of frozen snow still on the ground with ice. Thank you for your visit and comment :)

- A beautiful feeling, Heidi ... but, I don't think the winter is over ... - We had a lot of snow two days ago ... now it has rained away ... just slippery ice is lying on the ground :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Yes, you are right. Long way to go yet, as it is only February. We still have feet of snow on the ground here. It was nice to have a break. Thank you Anne-Lise :)

Hi Darlene. Yes, it is a nice break. We had so many feet of snow, there is still plenty, but it was a joy today :) Have a nice evening!
