This is a form of poetry that was introduced to me by Mick Talbot. It's called "Rhyming Wave Poetry" I hope I did it right (lol) If not, I do hope you enjoy the poem. PS: I wrote this about my precious granddaughter 16 months old Ava Rose

Her cheeks as soft as feathers down Feathers down, feathers, feathers down When she smile doth I'll never frown When she sleep, light, dimmer Her weeps and cries, I'll comfort her Yes comfort, comfort, comfort her In her tiny ears, a soft whisper In her, diaper, I'll try Hush little darling do not cry Do not cry, do not, do not cry Papa's going to dry your eye Papa's lullaby, sleep Soon enough she falls asleep She falls, she falls, she falls asleep She sleeps soundless without a peep She sleeps, myself I crown Her cheeks as soft as feathers down Sleeping soft, myself I crown

Wo, 2 thirds of a wow, LOL, Lines 1 to 3 are iambic tetrameter, line 4 iambic trimeter if you put it through a syllable counter this one https://www.howmanysyllables.com/syllable_counter/ you'll find that dropped 'w'. I am still impressed though. Mick

Thank you Richard, It seems I made a few mistakes trying to write this form of poetry. I updated it a little, and I will do so until I get this damn thing right (lol). I really do appreciate all your visits and kind words...!

Whew! So glad I passed the audition, as Lennon would say! They should really take a fine look at your form and add it to their list, it's a brilliant form for sure. Thanks for the feedback and kind words, my friend...I'll be waiting for that contest (lol) Well, off to fishing I go today! I'll stop by when I get back...Charlie
