Feast

Dawn has finally arrived, defeating of the night. Shadows were consuming me, when I was saved by morning light. Darkness though does plague me, a true cancer at my core. Gnawing at my spirit, diminishing it’s source. Though be the same my daytime hours, my foes change and now take shape. Of many forms in the world around me, of strangers met along the way. Of friend's invited to my table, the place in which to feast. Only to become, the thing the others eat.
