Fearless Girl

On Wall Street there's a statue Of a mean and charging bull. The tourists love to pose As his cojones get a pull. But lately, that same sculpture's Facing off with someone new - A saucy girl in bronze Who's very full of derring-do. With hands on hips and knowing grin, Defiant in her stance, She seems to pose a challenge Like, "Hey Bull, you wanna dance?" The message rings out loud and clear - Though men once ruled the world, You'd better make some room because Our female flag's unfurled!

I don't need a picture as I can visualise this so vividly in my minds eye but I must google to see the actual statues. Glad to see the lady now taking center stage! Your descriptive poems make my day - love your style and your humour Ilene:-) hugs Jan xx

Ilene, thank you for this clever and humorous write about the 'Fearless Girl' defying the 'bullish' symbol of Wall Street; and above all, thank you for so beautifully unfurling 'our female flag' in your poetry :) A 7 Amitiés
