Fearing love

Holding my secret for only me alone.
For you not to feel,
for you not to hear,
breaking us I fear.

To confess is scary,
but it's not what my fear is about.
It's not having you near me,
what's letting me down.

I fell in love from far away,
missing touch and missing air.
Drowning in thoughts and craving your hug.
Somehow it feels like home,
to be seen like that.

But somehow I lost strength,
knowing I would do everything for you.
If only,
I could let go.
If only,
I would know you love me too.
