Run lead footed in dream
trying to escape snakes or to catch speeding trains
wake in scream

wrenching nightmare
scares even restful sleepy brains
do prayer!

awake
happiness drains
shake!!

Reminds me of the Midnight Rider story. :( By the way, I'm trying to understand what the "minichu" format consists of exactly; I don't see it listed under PoetrySoup's Types of Poems. At 1st, when I read your poetry contest description, I thought minichu was just a cutesie phrase that meant chat or something. So I added one about Micky n Minnie, but it's just a short couplet, if you include the title it rhymes with. Can you steer me in the direction of improving the rhyme style? I kind of like it the way it is, though dis-qualify-able. ;)

Very well done Mohan There is a contest for MINICHUs at the moment, This could definitely be a winner ! Its funny how dreams are quite often in slow motion, just as your running lead footed, and You having a sleepy brain makes you slow too, and far more susceptible to fear. Snakes sure insight fear.
