Fear Is a Torment

Fear is false evidence that appears real,
It camouflages a true form,
Fear is a raging torment, 
It blinds us from the good at every moment.

Fear is an insistent voice that clouds the mind,
It says ill is near and behind,
Fear is a cloud that shields the light,
It sojourns not only at night.

Fear is a suspicious trait,
It says that no one is strait,
Everyone is filled with hate,
And it’s an inevitable gate.

Fear is an ominous perception,
Gloom is its intention,
It is recalcitrant in its appearance,
Only faith can bring total clearance.

Fear is a hanging terror,
It blurs the image in the mirror,
Only resonant confidence
 can shatter its residence,
