Fear

Afraid of change,
Afraid of yourself,
Of feelings untamed
Taking you off the shelf.

Fear itself has its sting.
You don't dare to dream,
And your heart won't sing.
Hope would end it,
And freedom would soar,
But fear can't open the door.

It's a monster
Stealing your goals,
Undermining your courage
And shrinking your souls.

If you only knew
How life could be
Without fear of your destiny,
You'd let go and take a stand
Crushing fear in your hand.

Fear, anxiety, these things I know and recognize. Even though everyone always tell you how it can be without, it just doesn't work!
