FEAR!

Fear kept him away
And friends led her astray
His insides felt ignited whenever she came
For she was a celestial being worthy of her name
From him she wanted courtship and a friend
But all she got was silence and heartache
He sought the help of God cause he didn't wanna fail
And he was open to change cause he wanted to learn,
How to treat a goddess born from the seed of man
The right way that she deserves

Ryan, your poem enlightens the reader to the complexity of a crush. There's immense feelings but also the respect you feel towards the correct treatment of a woman. This poem inspires us to try to be understanding towards people who are in the grips of fear surrounding such emotions. Your poem offers insight. Thank you for sharing your poem in the contest ✍️✨️🙂

Beautiful short poem on the fear that Love causes, Ryan. I enjoyed your offering. Know that one cannot escape Love. It will always overtake fear, even if it is that a goddess only arrives for a while to teach some lessons & to further open the Heart. I liked this line : « she was a celestial being worthy of her name «  & how you brought God into the picture. Blessings to you & Zimbabwe from South Africa., Ghairo.
