Favorite Memory

Stumbling through my yesterdays
I stopped to take a look.
Flipping through my memories
like pages in a book.

A movie playing in my mind
I never will forget.
The day I saw you standing there
the first time that we met.

I felt just like a kid again
just counting stars above.
So clumsy as we made our way
just learning about love.

Older now, and wiser too
I know more now today.
Seeing you here in my mind
the one that got away.

Foolish as a boy can be
those stupid games I played.
Looking back like through a crack
I see mistakes I made.

Stand here right now I know
I look and somehow see.
I am there once more with you
my favorite memory.
