FATHER'S LOVE

He touched your hand so carefully
When you were just small and new,
And tears filled his adoring eyes
The very first time that he held you.

Son, I know you may not remember,
For it was such a long, long time ago;
But your Father loved you then, as now,
Though feelings are sometimes hard to show.

Just remember his thoughtful actions
And all the times when he stood strong;
Everything he has tried to teach you...
Good from evil, and right from wrong.

Don't you know you are his pride and joy?
You have made his lonely life complete.
And he will always love you dearly,
For a Father's love is strong and deep.
