Fathers Love

The pain will never go away
When the angels came and took you that day
They may as well have taken me too
For I felt my life was also through

The most important person in my life taken away
Why were you taken so suddenly on that day
There are so many things I wanted to say
But now that chance is taken away

Dad why couldn,t you stay
just,just for one more day
So I could have told you how much I loved and respected you so
Its something I should have told you I wanted you to know

You were the one I always looked up to
The one who was always there to get me through
All the ups and downs of life
All the troubles and strife

My father,my mentor,my friend I lost them all
Who have I got now?who do I call?
I need you so much I wish you were near
Life ahead without you fills me with fear

But I know that I must carry on
And I will always remember you by a particular song
That I often play when I am feeling low
I wish I had been able to tell you how much I loved you so
