Father's Day

Father's day

Today,
A day honoring all
The wonderful
Caring
Fathers of this world.

Holding their children
As he lay a kiss
Upon their head.

I stand away,
Looking through my
Foggy eyes
With rain
Pouring onto the floor.

Jealousy rages
Through my body
As I slam my door
With the cry
Of a broken heart.

My father,
This man,
Sits with his new family
Drinking away his memory
Of his first child,
Never looking back
On his mistake.
