Fathers Day

Forever in my heart, in my dreams in my thoughts
A carving in my soul, will never be forgot,
Tenderness of heart hidden beneath austere look,
How very much you loved me, how much pride you took,
Example ever of goodness and honesty,
Resplendent in wisdom, humour in brevity!
Sage in your words, and in your deeds sincere,

Days have gone by, now count separation in years,
A moment then comes by that catches me in tears,
Yearnings of my heart, we shall settle in arrears!

There has always been and always will be a special bond between father and son, If we have been blessed with a good father, we will remember the love he imparted. If we have been given a painful memory of dad, in time you hope that the good memories will help heal the bad, well written piece , gl in the contest dear poet.
