Fathers Day

Facing my dad, who stood by mom’s side

Attentively. They were the definition of love.

Took care of us. We’d have dinner at 5:00, imagine!

He left the loving and conversation up to mom

Except for now — it’s amazing the stories he tells.

Relying on his memory, hoping for his

Soul to find love and peace in God.

Dad with unrelenting tears, now knows how much

All his kids love him. Just like him, we’re not going anywhere.

You can bet we’ll surround him on his bittersweet day.
